Tips for Regular Admission Notification Day
Tips for Regular Admission Notification Day So, itâs almost that time. March is right around the corner, and that means our regular admission notification day is almost upon us. By this time, we know that you are probably extremely anxious. We are here to help the day go as smoothly as possible for you. The following tips should prepare you for what to expect on March 1. Tip #1: Be Prepared This tip may seem trivial. However, there are ways you can prepare yourself for notification day. Decisions will be released on March 1, so make sure you can log into your myIllini account before March 1. You should be able to log into your account using the same username and password youve used throughout the application process. If you cant log into your account, you can call our office at 217-333-0302 any time between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. CST weekdays and we would be happy to assist you. Tip #2: Be Patient We will release thousands of decisions on March 1. Therefore, a large number of applicants will be logging into their accounts simultaneously, and the system may move more slowly than usual. We ask that you keep this in mind when logging into your account. You should only log in once using one device and one browser. Try your best to keep from refreshing the page numerous times. This helps to minimize some of the traffic on our system (and also allows you to get your decision more quickly!). Tip #3: Be Informed Once you successfully log into your account and have seen your decision, it may be helpful to check out our website to get a better understanding of what each decision means. If you need more information or have more questions after reading our website, you can call us starting Monday, March 4 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. CST. Also, be aware we will not be able to answer questions regarding admission decisions via email. Tip #4: Be Aware Its important to know that scholarship information will not be included in your decision letter. If you qualify for any of our merit-based scholarships, youll receive notification by April 1. If you have any financial questions outside of merit-based scholarships, please contact our Office of Student Financial Aid. Tip #5: Be Proactive One thing to note is that you can accept your offer of acceptance immediately. Theres no need to wait until May 1 if youre already sure youre ready to join our Illini family! Feel free to check out Kaitlyns recent blog post to learn more about other admitted next steps. Now that you have some tips on what to expect on March 1, we want to thank you for your application and your continued interest in our university. We received so many applications from highly competitive applicants who have truly set the bar for the incoming class of 2023. We wish all of you the best of luck in your endeavors, and we hope to see you on campus this fall. Go Illini!
